ADRIAN DUNBAR, Actor and Cultural Champion

”I love the whole idea of the Fermanagh Live Arts Festival ...I know the hard work and effort that goes into making a festival like this and I applaud those lovers of the Arts who feel they can give of themselves so wholeheartedly so that their friends and neighbours might encounter a little beauty in their own home town. Continued success for FLive 2019. Lots of love A x

Prof. MPS Varma OBE

Shane O Mara-Professor of Experimental Brain Research at TCD has stated that walking “repairs our brains, lowers our blood pressure……..and allows us to be creative and better at problem solving.” I would suggest that involvement with the arts would have much the same effect on the body, and in addition, people who have an interest in the arts are less prone to depression and anxiety, with an increase in positive emotions, and improved wellbeing. It has also been demonstrated that music in particular helps patients with dementia, and it has been shown to boost the immune system, and reduce inflammation, thus aiding healing, and improving medical outcomes.

Lauri McCusker, Director of the Fermanagh Trust

The FLive Arts Festival has been fantastic – engaging and enjoyable with a fantastic range of events and activities for people to participate in. Thanks for opening the heart and mind to possibilities and fueling our imaginations.

John Boyle, Director of Business Development, Waterways Ireland

Waterways Ireland is once again delighted to be associated with the FLive festival.  The Erne waterway, as a central resource within Fermanagh, has so much to offer in terms of recreation, culture, heritage, education and the arts. Over the past number of years FLive has showcased the waterway to a new audience and opened it up to an increasingly diverse range of participants.  We look forward to even greater numbers participating in the 2019 programme and also to hosting some of the events of the festival in our headquarters.  We wish the festival every success.

Situated in the scenic and picturesque west of Northern Ireland, Fermanagh is home to some of the country’s greatest music, drama and visual arts. At its centre is Enniskillen, a busy and vibrant town steeped in history and culture, with associated greats including Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett.

Straddling the small waterway between Lower and Upper Lough Erne, Enniskillen is Fermanagh’s biggest town with an approximate population of 14,000. The town itself is built along one main street which changes names six times along its length!

As a result, this makes Enniskillen a hub for shopping and socialising and creates an atmospheric buzz among the high street and independent stores, bars and restaurants. With an abundance of locations and facilities, the festivities will be taking place in the following venues:

We would like to thank all of our funders, sponsors,  partners and locations for their generous support of the FLive festival and we hope you too will support them in kind.

We are happy to provide free events and would like to sincerely thank the support we have from the following organisations as we would not be able to provide these artistic events without their support.

It was great to be part of last year’s F Live Arts Festival and I can’t wait for what’s on offer this year. Paul Brady at Ardhowen will be electric! Having spent a lot of last summer and autumn at Literary and Arts festivals all over Ireland I am proud to say that the festival in my home town, Enniskillen, was up there with the best: a festival that truly punches above its weight. F live offers quality entertainment and unique opportunities to access the arts and culture, try new things out, suitable for the whole community. The effort and energy the F Live team and all the volunteers put in is outstanding.

On behalf of Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, I would like to congratulate the Fermanagh Arts Festival Committee on such an excellent programme of events for the 2018 Festival. Fermanagh Arts Festival was established in 2007, I am delighted that it has continued to flourish and grow, and this year’s programme embraces a diverse genre of arts & culture in many guises featuring local and national acts.

Thank you for getting in touch
