A lecture by Richard Pierce: William Alphonsus Scott; A lifelong passion for Byzantium

William Alphonsus Scott, Architect, 1871-1921, left a lasting legacy on the built environment of Enniskillen. Amongst his buildings are the Town Hall, the Convent Chapel and the original Killyhevlin House. Richard gives his personal view of the course of Scott’s relatively short life and of the buildings and styles which influenced him.
